Officer Donofrio Named Meriden Officer of the Month

Officer Dave Donofrio has been named Meriden Police Departments March Officer of the Month.

Donofrio is an officer in the Neighborhood Initiative Unit and often changes his schedule to accommodate the needs of the neighborhood, according to the department’s post on Facebook. His area is the Lewis Ave. /Lincoln Street Associations.

“I have been stopped by citizens who have expressed how thankful they are for his work on the streets,” said Lt. Steve Lespier, Donofrio’s supervisor. I have also been informed by supervisors of this department that Officer Donofrio does a great job patrolling his area. His willingness to help his fellow officers and supervisors should not go unnoticed. Off. Donofrio has also recently volunteered to take on several critical teaching assignments for our department which will assist our training unit immensely.”
