Owner Who Left Dead Puppy at CT Reservoir Has Been ID'd: Report

The deceased dog was discovered in a box on Dec. 30.

WOLCOTT, CT — Police have discovered who left a dead puppy in a box at the Scoville Reservoir in Wolcott on Dec. 30, reports NBC Connecticut News.

Wolcott police said the puppy died in Waterbury and have turned the case over to that department. Authorities have not released the identity of the individual who left the four-month-old puppy at the reservoir.

Whether that individual will face charges has not yet been determined. They reportedly told police they couldn't afford treatment for the sick animal.
