Patch, Other AOL Content Now Part of Huffington Post Media Group
AOL buys Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington to be new president and editor-in-chief of media group
AOL announced late Sunday night that it has aqcuired the Huffington Post. Patch, along with the rest of AOL's content, including FanHouse and Tech Crunch will be under a reconfigured "Huffington Post Media Group" run by Arianna Huffington.
In Huffington's column today on her site, she said that "Patch.com covers 800 towns across America, providing an incredible infrastructure for citizen journalism in time for the 2012 election, and a focus on community and local solutions that have been an integral part of HuffPost's DNA."
