A person was struck and killed by a train on Monday morning, according to reports.
MERIDEN, CT — A person was struck and killed by a train in Meriden on Monday morning, according to multiple reports, including WFSB 3.
WFSB reports the person was struck by an Amtrak train near Empire Avenue near the Berlin town line.

UPDATE: As of 12:52 pm ET, Train 490 remains stopped north of Meriden (MDN) due to a trespasser incident. Customers on board will receive alternate transportation via a bus between Meriden (MDN) and Springfield (SPG).
