PHOTOS: Meriden Runners Compete at CCC Cross Country Championships

On an unseasonably warm late October afternoon, runners from Maloney and Platt high schools navigated the hilly 3.1 mile course at Wickham Park in Manchester at the Central Connecticut Conference Cross Country Championships.

Competing in the South-White division, Maloney’s Carter Antaya had the best finish among the Meriden runners, placing 49th in the pack of 207 boys. Brian Peach was the first Platt finisher.

On the girls’ side, Pamela Karabeiniko was the first Platt finisher, while Brittney Felix paced Maloney in the 174-runner field.
