Police: Man Fled from Meriden Officer After Distracted Driving Stop

Looks like he is getting more than a ticket.

A man was arrested after he allegedly fled from police after being stopped for texting while driving.

Police were on the lookout for distracted drivers on April 18 when they came across Miguel Aponte, 24, of East Hartford, according to the Record-Journal.

He allegedly pulled over, but then took off when an officer got out of the patrol car.
