Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set For New Meriden Station

The DOT will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new CTrail Hartford Line station in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new CTrail Hartford Line station in Meriden on Thursday, April 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the station (60 State Street).

The Meriden station features amenities aimed at providing a high-quality passenger experience, including high-level platforms, an overhead pedestrian bridge, overhead canopies, automatic snow melting systems, a passenger information display system, electric vehicle charging, and bicycle racks, according to officials. The station includes a 65-space surface parking lot, with 225 spaces of public parking also available the newly constructed parking garage at the intersection of Colony Street and Church Street.

This event is open to the public - residents, businesses, and rail passengers are welcome to attend.
