School Locked Down After Car Shot Multiple Times In Meriden

A car was shot multiple times leading to a school lockdown in Meriden Monday evening.

MERIDEN, CT — A car being shot several times on Gravel Street led to the temporary lockdown of Maloney High School Monday, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. A report of gunfire came in at 7:26 p.m. at the 120 Gravel St. apartment complex, which is directly across the street from the school.

Police investigating found several shell casings near the damaged car.

The school was put on lockdown as a precaution. No one was injured in the incident, according to The Record-Journal.
