Settlement Reached over Thruway Suicide in Meriden: Report
The incident occurred on I-691 in June 2013.

MERIDEN, CT — The city and the husband of suicide victim Meghan Silvernale recently settled a negligence lawsuit for $15,000, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
Acting as administrator of Silvernale's estate, Todd Cookingham sued Meriden following the June 2013 incident, where Silvernale jumped in front of a car on I-691. Cookingham claimed Meriden Police Off. Kevin Ieraci did not properly document the incident. Others, including MidState Medical Center and Hunter's Ambulance, were also named in the lawsuit.
The city settled the case "expressly denying libability" and without admitting liability, according to the publication.
