Shooting Injures 2, Investigation Continues: Meriden Police
Police said the two people who were hospitalized after the shooting were "uncooperative" and provided limited information.
MERIDEN, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people late Wednesday night.
Meriden police responded to MidState Medical Center shortly after midnight on Thursday, July 6 on the report of two people with gunshot wounds. Officers met with both people who were struck by gunfire, according to police.
“Both males were uncooperative upon police contact and provided limited information,” police wrote in a news release. “Both males suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

“The Meriden Police Department is still working to determine where this incident occurred and we want the public to know that even with non-cooperative individuals we still fully investigate these types of incidents. Gun violence is unacceptable in this community and we will work with all stakeholders and partners to help bring accountability to those responsible.”
