Shooting Investigated In Meriden: Police

Police are asking for help with the investigation of a shooting that happened Wednesday morning in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are asking for help with the investigation of a shooting that happened Wednesday morning in Meriden.

Police responded around 10:30 a.m. to the area of Perkins Square at Crown Street for the report of a gunshot.

Arriving officers found one shell casing and the area was blocked off for further investigation, according to Lt. Darrin McKay.

McKay said that the investigation is ongoing and, as of Wednesday afternoon, police do not have any victims who were struck by gunfire.

During the investigation, McKay said police determined that there was some type of physical altercation between several parties.
