Shots Fired Inside Convenience Store, Woman Hurt: Meriden Police
Three to four suspects are involved, police said.
MERIDEN, CT — Police are investigating a shots fired incident at Sam's Food Store located at 343 West Main St.
At 9 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the store for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple shots were fired within the store, police said.
"At this time it is believed that upwards of 3 to 4 suspects were involved; however, this investigation is still active and ongoing," police said in a news release. "While officers were on scene a female victim was located. This female is 37 years old and she had been sitting in a vehicle outside of the store when a stray bullet stuck the window of the car she was in."

"This female was not involved in the incident and she was not struck by the bullet but rather injured by the glass which shattered as a result of the bullet striking the window," police added.
Her injuries are not life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
