Social Media Post Prompts Increased Security At Middle School In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — A student’s post on social media led to an increased security presence at Thomas Edison Middle School in Meriden on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

NBC Connecticut reports police were notified and security was increased at the school as a precaution following a potential threating post was made on social media on Monday. (To sign up for Meriden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The Meriden Record-Journal reports there was no actual threat to the school and the student(s) responsible will be disciplined.
