St. Stanislaus School in Meriden to Close
Officials cited low enrollment, but some parents found the decision odd.

Saint Stanislaus School in Meriden will close after a century of teaching children.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hartford announced that the school would close on June 30, according to the Hartford Courant.
Students can transition to Saint Joseph School and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School.

The decision has ruffled more than a few feathers. The Record-Journal reports that some parents thought the decision was odd because a new roof and furnace were installed last year and the gym was finished this year.
Archdiocese officials said that the decision to close stems from enrollment.
