Suspected Grenade Found In Garage: Meriden Police

MERIDEN, CT — A suspected old grenade was found by a family cleaning out a garage Tuesday in Meriden, according to police.

Sgt. Michael Boothroyd emphasized that there is no bomb threat in Meriden.

“We cannot confirm if the grenade is real or not,” Boothroyd said in an email.

Boothroyd said Connecticut State Police Emergency Services were responding to “care for the device.”
