Thanksgiving Day Opening for Westfield Meriden Mall
The shopping center has been open on the holiday in the past.
MERIDEN, CT — The Westfield Meriden Mall will be opened from 6 p.m. to midnight on Thanksgiving Day this month, the fourth consecutive Thanksgiving the shopping will be open, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
The mall will reopen at 6 a.m. on Black Friday, which is the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally the nation's busiest shopping day.
Both Massachusetts and Rhode Island have laws prohibiting retailers from being open on Thanksgiving, but Connecticut does not.
