This Week's City Meetings

Meriden meetings for the week of Monday, Feb. 7 - Friday, Feb. 11.

Monday - 

The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. in City Hall's Council Chambers.  

Tuesday - 

The Pension Board will meet at 5:15 p.m. in Room 218 at City Hall.

The Meriden Aviation Commission will meet at 6 p.m. at the Meriden Markham Airport, on Evansville Avenue in South Meriden. 

At 6 p.m. the Finance Committee meets in Council Chambers at City Hall to discuss filling firefighter vacancies and one in the Fire Marshal's Office, a bilingual vocational training grant, purchasing cargo vans for Meals on Wheels, and buying equipment and raid gear for the police. The committee will also discuss the purchase of land at 33 South Colony St. for flood control. 

The Board of Education Contracts Subcommittee meets at the Board of Ed building at 6 p.m.

Wednesday - 

At 5 p.m. the Public Safety Committee gathers in Council Chambers at City Hall. 

The Public Works and Parks and Recreation Committee meets at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. In addition to staff reports, the committee will discuss including Fourth Street and Hemlock Road on the city's sidewalk list. 

At 6:30 p.m. the Planning Commission will meet in Room 131 at City Hall. 

Thursday - 

The Commission for Persons with Disabilities meets at 5:30 p.m. in the City Planner Conference Room in City Hall. 

At 6 p.m. the Human Services Committee meets in Council Chambers at City Hall.
