Update: Rt. 15 Partially Open in Meriden

Update: The right lane is now closed on Route 15 N, according to DOT.

Route 15 northbound is closed between exits 68N and 68W due to a multi-vehicle accident.

The I-91 NB exit 17 ramp is also closed, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. and more than eight cars appear to be involved, according to the Record-Journal. A woman and child were loaded into an ambulance.

LifeStar was called to the scene, according to NBC Connecticut.
