Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden Worship Service - June 19, 2016

Just a week ago, 49 precious souls were brutally murdered and over 50 more, critically injured in an act that has unleashed the deepest of grief—and for some, ongoing homophobia, ongoing Islamaphobia. The loss is up close and personal. Some of the fallen were called “Daddy.” Others were called “Son, Brother.” Yet others had been rejected by parents and family in a paralysis of understanding for what it means to love inclusively. On this Father’s Day, let’s step into the depths of our souls through story, silence, meditation, prayer, and song, as we worship together in loving community, inclusively loving community.
