Upcoming Open Houses In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — Meriden's open houses this weekend lean toward value and energy savings: four of the eight have solar panels, and a renovated manufactured home on North Broad Street is listed at $135,000. There's also a South Meriden Cape with an above-ground pool and a ranch on 1.5 acres at the Cheshire line.

Eight Meriden homes are holding open houses Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8, with prices from $135,000 to $465,000, according to Zillow.com.

Saturday, Nov. 7

253 Spring Street, 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, $299,000. This three-bedroom, one-bath ranch was built in 1915 and has a remodeled bathroom, updated flooring, new light fixtures and fresh paint, according to the listing, plus an unfinished basement. Zillow lists 784 square feet on a 0.16-acre lot.

84 North Meadow Lane, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $439,900. This four-bedroom, two-bath home has a finished lower level and an expansive, level backyard, and the listing says the property has access to a brook. It has 2,222 square feet on half an acre.

Solar panels cover most of the electric bill under a lease the buyer can assume, with two years left and an optional five-year renewal, the listing says. It has 780 square feet, and the price was cut $5,000 on Nov. 3.
