Vehicle Crashes Into Pole After Shooting In Meriden: Police

MERIDEN, CT — Police are investigating after a vehicle was struck by a bullet while being chased by another vehicle Sunday in Meriden.

Police responded to the 800 block of East Main Street around 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 on the report of a vehicle chasing another vehicle.

Dispatch received more information that shots had been fired, and one vehicle crashed into a telephone pole in the area of 825 East Main Street, according to police.

Responding officers determined that the suspect vehicle left the scene, and saw that the vehicle that had crashed was struck by at least one bullet, police said.
