Victim’s Hand Nearly Severed In Knife Assault: Meriden Police
A man is accused of assaulting another man with a knife during a fight in Meriden, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — A man is accused of assaulting another man with a knife during a fight in Meriden in September, according to police.
Police responded to the 300 block of East Main Street on Sept. 30 on the report of a fight.
A victim in the fight was taken to a local hospital with his hand “nearly severed from his wrist,” according to police.

Jeisson Oswaldo Angarita Roldan, 34, of Meriden, was identified as a suspect following an investigation, police said.
Roldan was arrested Wednesday on a warrant and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct. He was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.

“This investigation was completed with a combined effort between the Detective Division and the Patrol Division,” police wrote in a news release. “Our officers and detectives work tirelessly to find those responsible for crimes in the community”
