Meriden Man Accused of Running Illegal Prescription Pill Drug Ring
Wallingford police arrested 13 people in the alleged drug ring.

As the result of a six-month investigation, Wallingford police have arrested 13 people for their involvement in an illegal prescription pill drug ring, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports the drug operation was headed by Ramphis Pacheco, 34, of Meriden, who allegedly organized the ring and recruited vulnerable people seeking money to pass prescriptions for him.
The ring was responsible for approximately 6,180 illegally obtained prescription pills with an estimated street value of $185,400, police told the Record-Journal.

During the investigation, detectives found “at least four doctors who were victimized in this ring,” according to the Record-Journal.
The names of the other people arrested in the operation weren’t immediately released.
