“During the altercation, we believe that Farrar was stabbed with a knife prior to Ndwiga’s being shot,” McKay wrote in a news release.
McKay said the investigation is “still very much” active and detectives are working “numerous strong leads” that have developed a “male person of interest” who police are actively looking to speak with.
“We do have reason to believe that the male whom we’re looking for was actively involved in the incident which resulted in Beth Ndwiga’s death; however, at this time so as not to jeopardize our investigation, I cannot release any further information as to our investigatory efforts,” McKay wrote.
McKay said police will provide an update when any new developments, such as additional arrests, take place.
“I do appreciate all of your patience in this matter as our number one priority is apprehending the person responsible for the death of Beth Ndwiga,” McKay wrote.
