• Killingly man admits to stealing $775K from nonprofits (wtnh.com) — A man has admitted stealing more than $775,000 from nonprofits, including about $40,000 in unauthorized purchases while serving as executive director of Durham Middlefield Youth & Family Services, which serves Middlefield families. Federal prosecutors say he used wire transfers, debit card purchases, and checks to divert funds, and he now faces sentencing in December while owing over $775,000 in restitution.
