HURON, SD — July 5–11, 2026 — Family Campers & RVers (FCRV), the international camping club built on community and camaraderie, is proud to invite members from across the U.S. and Canada to the 66th Campvention in Huron, South Dakota. This annual gathering serves as the ultimate homecoming for our members, offering a week of shared knowledge, professional entertainment, and the unique fellowship that only the RV lifestyle can provide.
While the rally is centered on fellowship, FCRV is proud to continue its tradition of giving back. This year, the community outreach initiative features a partnership with the Friends of Maga Ta-Hohpi, a nonprofit who works with the US Fish and Wildlife Service who manages the Huron Wetland Management District. Other beneficiaries are the Huron Salvation Army Food Pantry, the Beadle County Humane Society, and the Ronald McDonald Houses in Sioux Falls.
Throughout the week, members will have the opportunity to engage with the local landscape through curated environmental activities. These sessions are designed to be both relaxing and insightful, offering a chance to learn about the preservation of the local natural resources that make South Dakota a premier destination for the outdoor community.
The Campvention schedule offers a diverse range of activities tailored for active adults and their families:
FCRV provides a stable community that feels like family. From specialized retiree programs and scholarship opportunities to local and state rallies, FCRV supports its members year-round. Campvention 2026 is the pinnacle of this experience—a time to park the camper, exchange camping wisdom, and enjoy the great outdoors in a family-friendly, social setting.
"Campvention is an annual opportunity for participants to renew old friendships, make new friends, expand their knowledge and skills, and discover the culture, history and beauty of a new locale.," says the Campvention Chair Jeanne Selby. "Between the social hours in Huron and our partnership with Friends of Maga Ta-Hohpi, it’s going to be a memorable week for every generation of the flock."
