• 88-Year-Old Middletown Man Fatally Struck By Car In Plainville: Police (patch.com) — Middletown readers are learning that 88-year-old resident Richard Sederquist died after being struck by a car while walking on New Britain Avenue in Plainville on Saturday. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and has cooperated, while investigators continue to seek witnesses and additional information about how the crash occurred.    

• Accused Middletown Shooter Arrested In New York: Police (patch.com) — Middletown police say the suspect in last Tuesday’s Westlake Drive shooting has been arrested in Poughkeepsie, New York, four days after the incident triggered local shelter-in-place advisories. No one was hit, but officers conducted an extensive search and still want to hear from anyone with additional information about the case.
