MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Middletown Public Works Department began road milling operations on Monday, July 27, with work scheduled on six local streets.
The work order listed by the department starts with Liberty Street, followed by Prospect Street, Green Street, Ferry Street to MLK Dr., Camp Street and Country Club Road.
The notice warned motorists to plan for slowdowns.
Road milling is part of street resurfacing work and typically involves removing the top layer of pavement before additional road work is completed. In Middletown, the department identified the streets in the order crews expect to handle them, giving drivers an early look at where traffic backups could form as equipment moves from one road to the next.
The first streets on the list are Liberty Street and Prospect Street, followed by Green Street. After that, crews are scheduled to move to Ferry Street up to MLK Dr., then Camp Street, with Country Club Road listed last in the announced sequence.
