Thanks to major donations from Eversource, Community Foundation of Middlesex County and other supporters during Fund a Cause at the Y’s Annual Sip & Celebrate Event, the Y first introduced LiveStrong in the Fall of 2018. The program, which provides a broad range of support for those living with, through and beyond cancer, has served nearly 30 patients in its first year at the Northern Middlesex YMCA location.
“LiveStrong is a proven program which is having a lasting positive impact on cancer patients and their families,” says Lori Lodge, Director of Fund Development at the Middlesex YMCA. “This special fundraiser will enable us to further expand our program to serve additional patients.”
Participants can enroll as individuals and participate in a fun and challenging FITNESS PENTATHALON featuring Boot Camp, MX4, Cycling, Water Exercise and Yoga. Individuals are asked to make a donation of $50 to participate in all five event classes or $15 to participate in an individual event class. Register online at www.midymca.org or at the Welcome Center at 99 Union Street, Middletown, CT.
