Prospective Students Explore Experience College Day at MxCC

Register for fall classes at Middlesex Community College starting May 15

Middletown, Conn. — Experience College Day, held on March 15, 2018, was a useful, informative, and enjoyable event for 122 high school students and 24 counselors who took a closer look at Middlesex Community College academic programs while getting a feel for campus life.

Middlesex faculty also led classroom presentations in accounting, computer information technology, early childhood education, new media, and veterinary technology for the visiting students.

“I really like the atmosphere of this campus. The presenters were easy to understand and kept it real,” said Jalene Ford of Meriden, Conn., who is also looking into taking a course at MxCC @Platt.

Donovan McCaleb of Cromwell, Conn, added, “I’ve also visited Syracuse, but like seeing a local school up close as well. The event was well organized, and the Center for New Media is very cool!”
