Sign Up For High School Journalism Camps Now!

Learn From Some Of The State's Best Reporters and Editors

NEW HAVEN – The award-winning Conn. Health I-Team is now accepting applications for two week-long summer journalism workshops for high school students.

For the eighth year, C-HIT will host the camps, at the University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University. The UConn camp is the week of July 9-13 and the Quinnipiac camp the week of July 16-20.

The program gives students an opportunity to develop multimedia and investigative reporting skills in a unique, intensive workshop environment led by local journalists. Students will spend a week on a high-profile university campus, learning the theories and process of journalism by participating in classes led by some of Connecticut’s best journalists, working on various forms of storytelling using state-of-the-art equipment, and spending a day visiting a media company.

Many of our “campers” have gone on to become accomplished journalists, interning at such publications as the Hartford Courant, the New York Times and the Boston Globe.
