A Stoa Buddhist Philosophy Group Meet Locally
Where east meets west at a Connecticut bookstore

The Stoa Buddhist Philosophy Groups meets at the That Book Store, a cozy book store in Wethersfield, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m. For the month of April they will have an additional meeting on April 17th. The group gathers for an informal social from 5:45 - 6 p.m. in the tavern-like bookstore atmosphere.
Twice a month the Stoa Buddhists, as they called themselves, explore the possibility of integrating two complimentary philosophical traditions, Stoicism and Buddhism, into one singular teaching and practice so that participants can receive the benefits from both traditions. The group offers a lively non-academic book discussion format with the guidance of a Stoic practitioner who is also an experienced Buddhist teacher.
The Stoa Buddhist Philosophy Group is open to the public; no Stoic or Buddhist knowledge is necessary.
