17 Connecticut Employers Make Forbes Top 500 List

Forbes surveyed 30,000 United States workers to determine which companies were the best to work for and CT was well represented.

Forbes Magazine has surveyed 30,000 workers in the United States who work for companies that employ more than 5,000 people and they’ve identified a list of the top 500 “America’s Best Employers.”

The good news is Connecticut has 17 such companies, though one of them is leaving for Boston, General Electric.

According to workers, the top 5 best major companies to work for are: Marathon Petroleum in Findlay, Ohio, No. 2, Google in Mountain View, California, No. 3, Costco Wholesale in Issaquah, Washington, Wegmans Food Market in Rochester, New York, and United Services Auto Association in San Antonio, Texas.

Facebook cracked the list at No. 11.
