2-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Restaurant In Milford, Fire Officials Say
The business will be temporarily closed until repairs and cleaning are complete.
MILFORD, CT — A two-alarm fire damaged a Chinese restaurant in Milford on Sunday morning, according to fire officials.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a commercial building at 589 Bridgeport Ave. at 11:20 a.m.
Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the building's roof at a unit in the middle of a strip mall.

Firefighters gained entry to the building and found the majority of the blaze was in Ming Feng Chinese Restaurant.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze but hidden fire was in the attic space and walls.

Crews overhauled these areas to completely extinguish the remaining fire.
The fire was contained to the restaurant. Adjacent businesses like Ocean State Job Lot and Dollar General remain open for business.
Ming Feng will be temporarily closed until repairs and cleaning are complete, fire officials said.
