While monitoring the waters, they noticed a swimmer a good distance from shore by the entrance of the marina. Moira and Kaleigh so quickly and effortlessly jumped into action. Without skipping a beat, the lifeguards began swimming out to the swimmer who was clinging onto a buoy as his two friends decided to jump off the rocks and swim.
When they reached the now three struggling swimmers, they understood why they were struggling, the currents were extremely powerful. Thankfully, a boater passing by stopped to help. They all got on board and were able to return to shore safely. If it was not for the awareness and quick action of Moria and Kaleigh, what was supposed to be a fun and exciting weekend, could have turned tragic.
