2 Milford Residents Accepted into University Honors Program

Eastern Students Accepted into University Honors Program

WILLIMANTIC, CT -- Eastern Connecticut State University has accepted a number of students into the highly selective University Honors Program. As a part of the program, students take additional classes and complete undergraduate research that culminates in a capstone thesis related to their major.

Among the students who have been selected is Jacob Reed '20 of Milford, who majors in History and Political Science.

Among the students who have been selected is Shannon Flynn '22 of Milford, who majors in English.

Each student is one of a select number of academically talented students that have been offered an avenue to demonstrate excellence in areas characteristic of the liberal arts.
Students in the Honors Program also participate in the Honors Club, which provides opportunities for social, cultural, and educational interaction among members of the University Honors program, as well as interaction between the program and the campus community. For many students, this social aspect has been the key to their success in college.
