3 More Charged In Walnut Beach Memorial Day Incidents

People from Trumbull, Stratford and Bethany were charged in connection with incidents at Walnut Beach in Milford on Memorial Day.

MILFORD, CT — Three adults were charged in connection with incidents that took place on Walnut Beach on Memorial Day.

  • Jacob Calderon-Perez, 18, of Trumbull was charged with sixth-degree larceny
  • Jasmin Bello, 18, of Stratford was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
  • Alexander Mitchell, 20, of Bethany was charged with second-degree breach of peace.

All three were released on a promise to appear. Police didn't release additional details about why they were charged.

Police broke up several fights at the beach on Memorial Day. Two officers were pushed to the ground and their body cameras were taken, police said.

Police announced last week that three juveniles were charged in connection with incidents at Walnut Beach.

The Memorial Day incidents led to stricter policies at the beach, including limiting parking for those without beach stickers.

Separately, police also charged Avrianna Diaz, 18, of Stamford with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace after a fight at Walnut Beach June 11, according to police.

A passerby told officers that they witnessed a fight on the beach. Officers found two people, and one of them had a minor cut and swelling to their lip. The victim told officers that they had a verbal dispute and Diaz punched her in the face, according to police.
