40th Annual Bluefish Tournament Offering $40k In Prizes

MILFORD, CT — The 40th annual Greatest Bluefish Tournament on Earth kicks off August 27 right after midnight and will go until Aug. 28 at 5 p.m.

The grand prize is $25,000 for the heaviest bluefish, second place is $7,500 and third place gets $2,500. There are smaller cash prizes for fourth through 20th place, and a $1,000 prize for largest fish caught by an angler under 18.

Registration is open and is $36. People can register online, by calling 203-366-BLUE, or in-person at Bait and Tackle locations. A t-shirt is included. The deadline to register is Aug. 26.
