5K "Angel Run" to Be Held in Milford on Saturday
The run will take place along the beautiful shores of Silver Sands and Fort Trumbull Beaches in Milford.

Fighting Angels Foundation, the nonprofit organization devoted to raising awareness and funding research for Angelman syndrome, is hosting its 1st Annual 5K “Angel Run” presented by The Greek Spot Café & Grill. The run will take place along the beautiful shores of Silver Sands and Fort Trumbull Beaches in Milford, CT. If you pre-registered you can pick up your bib/chip and goody bag October 11th from 9am-6pm at the The Greek Spot Cafe and Grill located at 726 East Broadway in Milford, CT.
You can log on to www.fightingangelsfoundation.com to pre-register before race day until October 9th after that race day registrations are welcome at 8am at 726 East Broadway, Milford, CT.
Participant parking is at Silver Sands State Park, Milford CT. Handicap parking is available directly in front of the Greek Spot Café & Grill.

We have an exciting morning of friendly competition and family fun planned including Male & Female Winners, Championship Trophies, Goodie Box and T-shirt, Complimentary Gyros, Music Entertainment as well as a sea of community support. Walkers, joggers with strollers are welcome. No pets are allowed during the race.
We are looking forward to this 1st Annual event. “Our mission is to spread our foundation wings and educate people about this rare neuro-genetic disorder which affects 1 in 15,000 live births” said Francis Lieto, president of the foundation. One of the beneficiaries and inspiration for the foundation is Joseph “Joey” Paul Moretti Jr. a local child born with Angelman. Joey and his parents reside in Monroe, Connecticut. “Joey is our guiding light to help us find a cure for this rare disorder.”
