69 Cats Rescued From a Milford House

The home had been condemned by Milford's Health Department.

The Milford Health Department rescued 69 cats from a High Street house that had been condemned and the cats are now at Milford Animal Control on East Broadway, the New Haven Register reports.

The house was condemned, city officials said, because of deplorable conditions including urine, animal feces, and overall hoarding conditions, the Register reports.

The homeowner has since cleaned up the property and is back living there. The cats are awaiting new homes.
