Affinity Esports Opens With Camps, Classes, More At Milford Studio

MILFORD, CT — Affinity Esports has launched in Milford. They are currently in the process of putting together a 2,000-plus square-foot pop-up studio at 125 Old Gate Lane.

The site will serve as Affinity Esports' home for the summer. They will offer summer camps, youth game nights, adult game nights, and birthday parties, according to a Facebook post. The studio is "equipped with Lenovo Legion PCs with Geforce RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards as well as 240hz Legion monitors."

Affinity Esports will also be launching a permanent studio in the fall.

The esports organization also has a studio in Newtown.

“The opening of our Milford studio marks a significant step in our mission to foster a safe, inclusive gaming environment that promotes socialization and education,” Kate Petersen, Director of Operations at Affinity Esports, said in a statement.

The programming at Affinity Esports is "designed to promote critical life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem solving, while also introducing participants to potential career paths within the esports industry."

Michael Dooling, Recreational Supervisor for the City of Milford, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership in a statement: “Affinity Esports brings a unique blend of technology and teamwork to our community. Their focus on creating safe, educational spaces for gaming aligns perfectly with our goals for local youth and adult recreational activities.”
