Alleged Threat Made Against Foran High School Thursday 'Not Credible': School Officials

School officials stress the alleged threat was deemed "not credible." As a precaution extra security will be at the school Friday. BREAKING

MILFORD, CT — School officials say a threat made against the Joseph A. Foran High School community has been deemed non-credible.

Milford Public Schools spokeswoman Kathryn Bonetti said after school was dismissed Thursday administrators at the school "became aware of an alleged threat that had been made against the Foran High School community."

"The Milford Police Department was contacted and immediately began investigating the alleged threat. It has been determined there is no threat to the school community," Bonetti said in a statement. "The Police Department will be continuing with their investigation and working with school officials."

Foran High School open and operate as normal, tomorrow. As a precaution, there will be added security presence at the school, Bonetti said.

"We encourage students and parents to report matters which seem suspicious or uncomfortable to school administrators when they occur so we can investigate and continue with our top priority which is providing a safe and comfortable school environment," Bonetti added.
