Have you ever felt ill-prepared for a job interview, well this new company says it can fix that and help you land the job of your dreams.

MILFORD, CT — Have you ever felt ill-prepared for a job interview, unsure what to say, well a Milford resident has launched a business to help you land that dream job.

Daniel Thornberg, of Milford, has launched Aced My Interview, which includes interviewing specialists who are “some of the top, long-standing, experienced interviewers and recruiters in the country.”

“Together they’ve done thousands of interviews and have worked with many corporations including, GE, Pepsi, United Technologies, IBM, UBS among many others,” according to the company’s website. Thornberg is no stranger to launching his own business as he created his first company, Total Lawn Care LLC, of Milford, at the age of 20.

Dan studied at Southern Connecticut State University. He came to college with a different perspective on the business world. On a daily basis, Dan was dealing with business professionals and clients in the real world. This was something many of his peers had never had the opportunity to experience, said Jake Nielsen, who works with Thornberg.

“Dan noticed this lack of experience when observing his peers communication skills. They were in no position to walk into a professional job interview. They were ill-prepared for the questions that would be asked by professional recruiters and unsure of how to answer in a professional manner,” Nielsen said.

“After recognizing this problem, Dan set out to find a solution and ended up creating AcedMyInterview.com. Our country has an ample amount of talent, but most goes to waste due to poor interviewing skills. There is no reason to waste 4-6 years of education if upon graduating you lack the interview skills necessary to land a job,” Nielsen added.

The benefit of using Aced My Interview is the service's ease-of-use and credibility, Nielsen said.

“Our platform gives users access to: Job Interview Help Guides, Career Advancing Tools, and Mock Interviews conducted by one of our interview specialists.”

Aced My Interview has a wide variety of clientele from the college student looking to land their first internship, to the 35-year-old executive looking to change careers, to the high school student looking to get accepted to their top college or university, Nielsen said.

“We have a service to cater to every need,” Nielsen said. We cater our interviews to your own individual needs. So there is no job limitation. Our Interview specialists are trained and are well versed interviewers.”

When you visit their website there is a “four-step” process to get going.

Nielsen said it works like this: “One, create an account from your desktop or mobile device. Two, pick the service you need and pick a time and date that works for you. Three, take your interview with a specialist. Four, get evaluated via a comprehensive report card, our Ace Card. This Ace Card is dynamic and is designed to remove human error and bias from the equation. This is done through algorithms that adjust your grade based on scored criteria. The true value to this program is the Ace Card because it lets you know how to get better and most importantly, land your dream job.”

Nielsen said what makes the business so unique and successful is that the interviewing specialists used by the company have worked with some of the top companies in the United States.

“The future's looking bright and we are looking to help as many people as possible land the job of their dreams,” Nielsen said.
