MILFORD, CT — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in an accident Wednesday on I-95 in Milford, according to state police.
A Honda Civic was driving on the highway's northbound side at 1 p.m. in the left lane near exit 34.
A Yamaha motorcycle was "splitting between the left and center lanes at a high rate of speed," police said.
The two vehicles collided near the hash mark separating the left and center lanes. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and landed in the center median.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of a serious head injury and other unknown injuries.
The Honda's driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
