Valletta Rose Wall, 86, of Orange, beloved wife of Donald, passed away on April 22, 2026. Born on January 15, 1940 in Syracuse, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Lowella Daino.

Her story with her beloved husband, Don, began in 1967, when he transferred to Carrier International Corporation in Syracuse, New York. Val was also working there, and before long they became a couple. They were engaged on Christmas, a beginning as joyful as the season itself. On September 28, 1968, they were married in Syracuse.

They honeymooned in Honolulu, Hawaii, then soon after embarked on an international journey, living in Tokyo, Japan for a year and a half. In 1969, they moved to Hong Kong, where their first son, Dan, was born in May, 1970. Not long after, they relocated to Singapore, spending another two and a half years there before returning to the U.S.

After a brief stay in Syracuse, Don and Val settled in Orange, Connecticut in November 1973. There, they welcomed their second son, Jon, born in January 1975. Val embraced her role as a homemaker, dedicating herself fully to her family. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, creating a home filled with warmth.

Val and Don celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Bermuda, a place they would return to many times over the years. Their travels took them through the Caribbean, exploring the Mediterranean, relaxing in Maui, Hawaii, and driving the scenic route from San Francisco to San Diego. These journeys reflected their shared joy in experiencing the world together.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Val was a daily communicant and an active member of the Rosary group at Holy Infant Church, where she found both community and spiritual strength. Her commitment to her beliefs shaped not only her own life, but also the lives of those around her. She will be remembered as a woman of faith and family.

Val leaves behind a legacy of love that lives on in her husband, her children, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Maplewood at Orange, especially Kate, Michelle, Christian, Emily, and Amanda, for their outstanding care and compassion.

In addition to her husband, Don, Val is survived by her sons, Daniel and Jonathan; her sister, Luanne (Edward) Kraynak; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Val is predeceased by her brother, John A. Daino.
