MILFORD, CT — Crews extinguished a fire at a Milford home Sunday night, according to fire officials.
The blaze broke out in a Milford Hunt Lane home around 9:45 p.m.
Firefighters arrived at the home to find smoke coming out the front of the house. A homeowner met firefighters in the front yard and said that there were flames in the basement. Everyone in the home made it out safely.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze by going through the garage into the basement. The fire appeared to have started in a utility closet, fire officials said.
Crews searched the home and confirmed that everyone was out. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
