Details Released On Return Of Lobster Roll Festival In Milford

The event will feature food, music and family activities, all centered around the city's famous seafood dish.

MILFORD, CT — A waterfront festival celebrating Milford’s role in culinary history is set to return to Walnut Beach this fall.

The Milford Regional Lobster Roll Festival is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 20, bringing a full day of food, music and family activities to the shoreline. Organized by the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, the event highlights the city’s claim as the birthplace of the hot buttered lobster roll, first served in the 1920s at Perry’s Restaurant.

Chamber officials said the festival aims to showcase local businesses while offering a community-focused end-of-summer gathering.

The event will feature lobster rolls and seafood dishes from area restaurants, along with craft beer and wine, live music and a variety of vendors. Organizers also plan a kids zone, interactive activities and a business showcase highlighting local companies.

New this year, an Arts Pavilion will spotlight local artists and add to the festival’s offerings.

A VIP experience and additional attractions are also planned, with live entertainment scheduled throughout the day. The band lineup is expected to be announced at a later date.

Chamber representatives said the festival continues to grow as a regional attraction, drawing visitors to Milford’s coastline while supporting the local economy.

The event is open to residents and visitors. More information is available through the chamber’s website.
