Lorraine Julia Hauck, age 78, of Milford, beloved wife of Warrell Hauck for 35 years, passed away at home on Monday May 11, 2026. Lori was born in Bridgeport on May
13, 1947, to the late Samuel and Dona Dunbar Renzulli.
She graduated from Central High School and received her associates degree from Housatonic Community College. She was a hairdresser for many years at a variety of salons including Shoppers Beauty Fair, Fine Arts, and the Fountain Bleu. Later she joined Clairol in Stamford before finishing her career at Bridgeport Health Care. Lori was an active member of St. Raphael’s Parish and a volunteer at Milford Library.
She was an avid reader and member of a local book club.
Lori's love for family showed in every thought, word, and action in her life. She adored her children and grandchildren and they adored her. Lori loved animals and they were intensely devoted to her. She will be remembered especially for her special appreciation for nature, the water, and the beauty in the world. She demonstrated this love in a garden full of blooming flowers, the quiet companionship of animals, or a day spent wandering through the zoo with wonder and delight. Her gentle spirit, deep compassion, and appreciation for life in all its forms will inspire her children and grandchildren for the rest of their lives.
Survivors include her children: Alexander Kovachi and his wife Lanette of Trumbull, Emily Hauck of Honolulu, Hawaii and Erin Gorky and her husband Tyler of Denver, CO, five grandchildren, Maya, Alaina and Samuel Kovachi and Dylan and Scarlett Gorky, siblings, Valerie Carter and her husband John of Milford, Rhonda Luby and Craig Renzulli both of Bridgeport, her Uncle, Valentino Renzulli of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. Lori is predeceased by her brother, Edward Renzulli.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, May 20th from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in THE GREGORY DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT. A Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
