Verdict Reached For Suspect In Home Invasion Case In Milford, Prosecutors Say

MILFORD, CT — A man was convicted on litany of charges in a home invasion and robbery case in Milford, according to a statement from prosecutors.

Shane Gordon, 30, of Bridgeport, did not appear in court to hear the jury provide the verdict. A judge ordered Gordon rearrested, setting his bond at $2.5 million.

The man was accused of being part of a pair who dressed in phony Amazon delivery uniforms at a Naugatuck Avenue home in January 2022.

The victim told police that when he opened the door to accept a package, the two armed suspects forced their way inside.

The suspects overpowered the victim and at one point aimed a gun at his head and dry-fired, according to prosecutors.

The suspects tied up the victim with duct tape and ransacked his home, stealing valuable items including jewelry with a combined value of over $50,000, prosecutors said.

Gordon was found guilty of home invasion, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, first-degree larceny, theft of a firearm and three counts of conspiracy.

He is scheduled for sentencing Aug. 26.

Another man was also charged in the case. Jahsim Trotman, 29, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for the crime.
