Born to the late Alice Fleming Ajello and Joseph Francis Ajello, Eileen grew up in Shelton alongside her cherished siblings, Doris and Joseph. She shared a close relationship with them, and an inseparable bond with her beloved sister. The two were lifelong best friends and companions whose love and friendship were admired by all who knew them. Eileen was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Cassola, her dear brother Joseph Ajello, her sister, Doris Galardi, and her niece, Jean Tupper.

Eileen attended Lauralton Hall, Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, where she boarded with her sister Doris and formed treasured memories. She later earned a degree from Larson College and went on to build a distinguished career at U.S. Motors in Milford, where she served as Personnel Manager, leading her staff with professionalism, compassion, and grace.

A woman of deep faith, Eileen was a devoted member of Precious Blood Parish. Her strong devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Blessed Sacrament guided her daily life and prayers. She especially treasured the friendships she shared through her church buddy group and the joyful celebrations they enjoyed together at Pop’s.

Eileen’s gentle spirit, radiant smile, and infectious laugh brought comfort and happiness to everyone around her. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, loved, and at peace. Family was the center of her world, and some of her greatest joys came from gathering loved ones around her table. She will long be remembered for her famous lasagna, pecan pie, cookies, dessert bars, and the beautiful birthday cakes she lovingly made for family celebrations. She also found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, spending time at the beach in Milford with friends and family, playing bocce and admiring the beauty of Charles Island.

Eileen leaves behind her dear sister-in-law Anna Jean Ajello and many loving nieces, nephews, and devoted friends who will forever cherish her warmth, generosity, faith, and unwavering love of family, including Joseph Ajello (François); Michael Ajello (Dana); Dori Reidy (Jim); Mary Jo Boor (Tim); Andrea Gaetano (Dave), Paul E. Tupper, T.J. Ajello, Alyssa Ajello, Samantha Ajello, Jim Reidy (Erica), Mary Claire Edmonds (Clint), Paul J. Tupper, Tim Boor, David Gaetano, Joseph Gaetano, and Katelyn Boor, along with her beloved grandnieces, Maggie, Willow and Gabriella.

Above all else, Eileen was a uniter, a peaceful, kind, and gentle soul whose greatest happiness came from bringing family and friends together. Her life was a beautiful example of love, faith, generosity, and devotion, and her memory will continue to warm the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Avenue, Milford, on Saturday, May 30 at 9:30 AM. A visitation for family and friends will be held in the St. Agnes social hall prior to mass, beginning at 8:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John Rigely Food Pantry at Precious Blood Parish, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT, 06460. (Checks should be made payable to Precious Blood Parish.)
